| Little one had a bout with roseola infantum. It's a weird viral infection. It starts with a high fever for about 3 days...then all of a sudden a rash appears. We called him bipolar baby during this time period. One second he was laughing, and the next second he would burst into tears. Poor thing. He was pretty much stuck to me like velcro. But now, he's happy as a clam. Yay!!! And he needs a nother haircut desperately.

What do you do when your toddler starts saying "NO!" and starts throwing tantrums?
| It started out as a trim along the sides. Then mommy thought "He's need a trim along the top." Then it was really uneven. Finally, mommy thought "Daddy is going to kill mommy. We need to get to Duane Reade and buy a pair of clippers." So we went from this:
to this:
Baby looks like he's going to join his uncle Mike @ the US AirForce. Note: Pictures taken with video camera. We lost our digital camera. Hence the bad photos with bad lighting.
| I haven't been too diligent about training for the NYC Marathon. I would miss a training run here and there. Yesterday I ran 13 miles, and it sucked. Luckily the weather was nice and not too disgusting. But looking at the training schedule, my next long run will be 8 miles, then the following weekend, it'll be 15 miles. Then there are two 20 miles long runs in the next two months..... What on earth did I sign up for? And you expect me to finish 26.2 miles on November 4? | | |
| I've been surfing around YouTube, and I came across clips of old tv shows I use to watch. 1. Magic Garden I loved loved loved this show when I was a kid. My cousin and I use to reenact the show. We tried creating a swing, a chuckle patch, and the story box. And we had our hair in pigtails just like Paula and Carol. 2. Wonder Woman I was so obsessed about getting Wonder Woman underoos. I think it my child brain, I thought if I dressed like Wonder Woman, I could become her. 3. Kids Incorporated I use to wake up really early for this show. By then I knew how to operate the VCR. Diligently I would record every episode. My cousin (same one) and I would dissect each song and dance, and then we would reenact it. We would then tape the music on a tape recorder, and then play it outside. Then the whole neighborhood got involved in our dance routines. Conclusion: Yes, we did watch a lot of TV. But we also had a lot of imagination. And we also spent a lot of time outside getting into trouble..not a lot of trouble, but I've been spanked with the chicken feather duster a couple of times. But how else are you suppose to learn? | | |
